Mommy is a College Graduate!

Ten years after Graduating from high school, and with three little boys, I finally graduated with my Bachelors degree! The BGS Program had a great little luncheon for us on Thursday and On Friday was Convocation. I am so grateful for all those who helped me finish my degree and encouraged me to continue my education.

We found out that Grandpa Graduated college ten years after high school too! at that time he had three girls so we are pretty much awesome together ;)

Colin slept through the whole ceremony!

Colin Blake Cook

Easter Sunday is such a wonderful time to be surrounded by our eternal families. We were doubly blessed this Easter because Dad was able to give Colin a name and Priesthood blessing in church.
Colin, you are so special to us and you are blessed to be born into a family that has many great examples of worthy priesthood holders.  Dad was the voice for your blessing and in the circle you also had both your Great Grandpa Cook and Bassett, Grandpas Cook and Gleason, and your Uncles Dustin, Jon, Ryan, David, Klark, and Darren. You were blessed to be an example to, and follow the example of your brothers and sisters and to gain a testimony of your savior.  You are so loved! Thank you for joining our family!

Easter eggs and hunts

On Friday we colored eggs. In the pictures of the boys coloring their eggs you will notice that Adam has relatively spotless hands while Kyle digs his hands right in. I love how even though they look a lot alike, their personalities are so different.

The boys had some fun with Great Grandpa Bassett.

On Saturday the boys woke up to Easter baskets and a hunt for all the eggs that were hidden inside the house.
Meanwhile, Colin had a fun time looking out of the window.

Kyle was way to wiggly to pose for a picture,
and Adam was having a wee bit of a PJ malfunction.
Kyle decided that his chocolate egg was a great breakfast.
Both the boys loved their new ball and bat and spiffy clothes.
We then had a big kid egg hunt outside in our yard, and then another Neighborhood hunt in the park up the street. This year Emma found the golden egg and it was such a good reminder of why we celebrate easter

Temple Square with the Cooks

While the Cooks were in town for Colin's blessing, we decided to go to temple square after we picked up Aunt Emma from the airport.  we had fun walking around, taking pictures of all the pretty flowers, and then afterward we got ice cream at Leatherbys. that was super yummy.Colin was curled up in Grandpas arms most of the day and Adam barely stopped long enough to catch his breath, let alone to get a picture taken. The wind was blowing the whole time, but the flowers were beautiful.

April

Guess who else is becoming a master of the selfie.  I really do love the stage this little boy is in right now. Kyle is a little parrot and learns and masters a few new words every day.  He totally cracks me up with his goofy little personality and he makes my day so much easier with his easy going attitude, it doesn't hurt that he loves nap time and bed time too.

Adam has been going through some changes and so this week I took him out to dinner for a mommy son date(he is peeking through the red car part).  When I asked him him what he wanted to talk about he said "I want to talk about the cars!" in true boy fashion.  I love that we are starting to be able to have full on conversations. It makes it so I don't have to talk to my self so much! Adam is really trying out his independence and trying my patience in the process. when he has a breakdown I can usually calm him (and myself) with a nice long hug.  We have had a lot of hugs lately ;)  We are both learning and growing through this process.
Little tiny is just awesome. He goes on and off of a good sleeping/eating schedule every night and the bad nights are getting fewer and far between, which is a blessing to this tired mama.  He has also started smiling and playing more and that is an absolute joy.  From being my baby that cries the most he is starting to calm down quicker and has more content periods lately and that is a blessing as well.  I am totally in love with his little face and tininess.  It is hard to believe that he is two months old today.

We also got chicks again so we could have chickens they are growing way too quickly, but that's just fine. We had to move them from their place on the floor to one higher up where the boys can't reach them.
