For family night we headed to old Folsom and went ice skating on their outdoor rink. The weather was so nice and Adam and Kyle loved skating around and around. It was so fun to watch too.
Kyle's feet were just barely big enough to fit in their smallest skates.
By the end Adam really got the hang of going solo on his little skater.
One Wednesday, a lot of the family got to go to the Sacramento temple for a session. The others went Saturday morning.
Again, the weather was perfect. Later we were able to get family pictures taken with all the Cooks (Murdocks too!) that was a lot of fun. Mom was able to finish a big puzzle while Dad introduced and played minecraft with pretty much everyone.
Thanksgiving meal was wonderful and delicious. Colin celebrated by having his first tooth break through. Grandma and Grandpa Bassett were their as well as most of the Bassett cousins. It was great to chat and play games. On Friday there was a lot of free time which equates to projects and games at the Cook household.
Mom was able to make Colin's stocking in time for decorating when we got home. The Aunts made and decorated a lot of cakes...which we sadly did not eat but it was fun watching the process anyway. Kyle could be found at any given time, jumping on the trampoline and exploring the tree house. Adam was always up for a game of minecraft. He also hung out with uncle Jared all the time. Where Jared was, so was Adam. Adam told me that Jared was his favorite friend.
We also decorated the Christmas tree and listened to Christmas music.
On Saturday we went to see the Salmon run and later celebrated Aunt Emma's Birthday. 17 years old!
We are truly thankful for all these blessings. The fun, family, views, work, play, and mostly, time shared together with the people we love. Thank you all for making it such a wonderful trip!
We are also thankful that we are now home safely.
