Stubborn

That is Kyles' middle name, or so it would appear.  He is the most stubborn little kid I know, weather it is refusing to say please, or wanting dad to get him something mom just got him. He can throw a fit like none other and refuses to budge on his opinion. While being stubborn about silly things really never gets him his way, he is finding out how stubborn mom can be too.  When that happens, no one really wins.  For an example, Sunday was the primary program. Kyle went up with his brother for the welcome song and came back down without incident. After the Sacrament was finished, he had a change of mind and didn't want to go up anymore. When he calmed himself a little bit, Dad tried to take him up but didn't make it past the stairs before Kyle asserted his will. He spent the entire program on the side of the stairs, moping. Any time he made eye contact with anyone, he would hid and go back to being a grump. What did this accomplish? Absolutely nothing, except for the burst of tears he cried after he realized the program went by with out him saying his part. Oh, and it made me realize that my 4-year-old has a mind of his own, and it is a stubborn one.

Seven Years of celebrating

This weekend Mom and Dad celebrated being sealed seven years ago. There have been ups and downs, stress and joy, but mostly wonderful times that make fantastic memories. In the last seven years we have: lived in four different homes, had four boys, one miscarriage, received two bachelors degrees, had two jobs, had three parents diagnosed with cancer, and countless loads of laundry and dishes washed. So far, no broken bones or stitches needed, which is nothing short of a miracle with our four crazies.
While Aunt Milla stayed with the boys at home ( they had so much fun!) Mom and Dad went to Cedar city for some fun of our own.  We stayed at a great bed and breakfast, rented a movie, ate German and Spanish candies, played 9 holes of golf (we are amateurs for sure), soaked in a jacuzzi tub, saw a play, played Pokemon go, ate Guatemalan, Indian, Italian, and American food, and enjoyed a session at the Payson Temple. It was a fantastic weekend and if we could, we would go right back! Thank you Schatzie for these last seven years!

Conference Weekend

one of my two favorite weekends of the year.

On Saturday, Dad worked on his truck and finally got the transmission all out.
The boys enjoyed coloring while listening
