Great Grandma Cook isn't doing so well and it won't be long until we say goodbye. So making and recording memories seems so important. We are blessed to be able to live close so we can stop by for Sunday visits. I love my family so much and I am so thankful we can make memories together.

Bennett, oh Bennett!
A couple days ago Bennett was tackled by his brother Colin while holding something in his mouth. He started gagging and mom went to help him. His breathing wasn't blocked but he kept gagging until he threw-up. We found a lego wheel and figured that he must have gagged on that. Fast forward to this morning. Bennett has been breathing and drinking fine but he seems pretty irritable whenever we try to get him to eat solid food. He gagged up his german pancakes (which he loves) last night and refuses to eat anything but apple sauce and cream of wheat. It is decided that Mom will take him to instacare. There they do an x-ray. What in the world?! The x-ray tech does another one to make sure that the big round thing at the base of his neck is, in fact, in his body. It is. They send us over to the American Fork ER where we see Daddy's cousin Jocelyn Wilson, have the whole ER staff gawk at his x-ray and then we are told that they don't have small enough tools to deal with a boy Bennetts size. We are then sent to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He is expected. Come to find out that the staff has nicknamed him the little piggy bank. Waiting in the ER was the worst part. By that time Bennett was grouchy, hungry, and weary of anyone with a stethoscope. He also hated the IV and additional `x-rays that had to be taken. He had to be put under anesthesia and have the coin removed by a surgeon and a scope. The actual procedure only took about 15 minutes start to finish and when he was done the anesthesiologist came out and asked "have you been to India recently?" confused fears rushed in but then he held up the little bottle with a 5 rupee coin in it. What? Woah! He is doing a lot better now. Eating fries and pizza. Just a little grouchy. He cries whenever he sees the coin.

Adam is 7!
Happy birthday Adam! We are so happy that you are seven years old now! wow! can you believe it? you chose a raspberry lemonade cake and we had a homemade pizza night on the grill with family. there was a little bit of rain then a beautiful double rainbow appeared. What a special day. You are learning more and more every day and you are such a great big brother. You take care of your little brothers every morning and make sure that they get breakfast. You even change diapers every once in awhile. Our family sure wouldn't be whole without you and your sweet, goofy, and sensitive spirit! We love you Adam!

LASIK
For the last few weeks I have been wearing my glasses full time to get my eyes ready for surgery. And on the 6th it actually happened. I now have near 20/20 vision without contacts or glasses and I am kindof blown away. Who know it would be so thrilling to now have to remove contacts at night, or to wake up and be able to read the clock in the middle of the night. I don't think I will ever get tired of looking at the world and beauties around me with nothing but my own eyes to aid me. The whole process involved a few tests leading up to a 20 minute laser surgery and by the end of it I could already see so much better than I have been able to for almost 20 years. The next day I could even drive myself to my post/op appointment. My only regret is that I didn't get it done sooner.
