Adam started second grade on the 22nd. Kyle (kindergarten) and Colin (SPED preschool) followed the week after. These boys are growing up way too quickly.

eclipse
It is pretty much impossible to describe how completely amazing being in the path of totality was. So I won't even try. If you ever have the opportunity to see a total solar eclipse, don't hesitate, take it!
Bennett wasn't all that impressed. As the sky went dark he took off down the road. he was about 100 meters away when we caught up to him. The viewing neighbors who scooped him up were nice enough to return him.

Family reunions...
Gleason and Cook. We love our cousins and family and camping and getting dirty and camp food. Also, fishing, playing games, campfires, hiking, rafting, being silly and traveling. We especially love spending time with our loved ones.

Grandma Patricia Ann Kimball Cook
Great Grandma Cook passed away peacefully on August 2nd. We will miss her and hearing her say "hello sweetheart!" We are so grateful for Grandma's influence in our lives. She is sweet and kind and she will make heaven a little brighter by just her presence, because that is what she has done for us. Thank you for your love Grandma, until we meet again.

Bennett and Amilia
These little tow-headed twins (ok, technically she was born a week earlier and consequently in a different year, but close enough) are best buddies. They will do anything and everything together, including escaping the cul de sac, and walking home from the park together (how did they get so fast?) They even have no fear about making each other's houses home. If a door is left open, they will walk right in. I love seeing them together. Any time Bennett sees Amilia he is all smiles and says an emphatic "HI"! We wish they could be our neighbors forever!
