Surprise Graduation for Grandma!

Early this year I made a call to BYU continuing education to see if anything could be done for Mom.  She was so close to graduating but with all her cancer treatments and such she was having a very difficult time completing her last course. well a few weeks later we got a knock on our door and a man I did not know said "you must be Amber Cook" he came in a proceeded to explain to us that his name was Wayne Lott and he was the dean of continuing education at BYU.  he then informed us that Mom was, as of a few weeks prior to our meeting, a college graduate.  I must admit, I cried. We conspired together and came up with a plan to all go out to California and have a surprise graduation ceremony just for her.  Nathaniel drove out with the boys, Grandma and Grandpa Bassett , Aunt Milla, Aunt Brianne, and Uncle Dustin.  I got to fly because I'm so far along in my pregnancy.  The night was perfect and there were so many people there who love and support Mom and the evening was just so special. So many miracles happened to put this all into place. I was asked to give small speech and Dad arranged with the relief society to have refresments after. It was wonderful.  Thanks Mom for all your hard work and your example! Now I need to get on the ball so I can graduate this year too!
