First Fathers and Sons camp out and then Gleason family reunion. We love camping, and cousins, and marshmallows, and dirt.

Adam is 6

Adam! what a great kid you are! We are so happy that it is your birthday. you got your own cape this morning and you and your brother have been wearing them all day long. Today you and your brother had your birthday party with a lot of your friends from the neighborhood. We also had a bounce house and a pinata and your favorite, pizza.  You got a bank for a birthday gift because you have started earning money by taking care of your brothers. They sure love you. You are great at making Bennett happy and Colin and Kyle could follow you around all day long. Colin wants to be just like you and he has even started saying your name (dam-dam) which is a big deal for him. I love how sensitive and thoughtful you are. If you do something wrong you hate making mom or dad upset with you and you can usually be comforted with a hug and a kiss, no matter what is wrong. You are reading and writing a lot now and you even write little notes to your family when you especially want to show love.  You are taking on more and more responsibility and you have discovered that you do not like cleaning, so you are pretty good at keeping your room clean for a while.  You are so thoughtful and enjoy comforting your little brothers and other little babies when they are sad. Thank you for your sweetness and kindness. First grade is going to love you! We love you! Happy Birthday!

Kyle the 4 year old

We love you Kyle! you had a fun day today. You got a cape on your door in the morning and wore it all day long. We went out to lunch and you got a root beer float. You are our little super hero who is so good at making people laugh. Your sense of humor is great but it can some times get you into trouble, like when you announced to your sunbeam teacher and class that "bum isn't a bad word but you shouldn't say penis"... or when mommy was praying for patience and in the middle of the prayer you announced "the Holy Ghost is dead". You love learning new things and have recently started using numbers and can count to 7 without help or prompting. I can tell 4 is going to be an interesting year for you. A couple days ago you wanted a cheese stick because, as you claimed, you were starving. I wanted you to say please but for some reason you refused. I spent over a half hour trying to get you to  say please amid howling and screaming about how you were so hungry but you still refused to say please. Your stubbornness is impressive. You have also recently started acting like the world is ending (or you are on fire) when your brother is mean or touches you. but when you are really hurt you don't make to much of a fuss. You were at a friends house today when you got your first wasp sting and after the initial shock, you were just fine. Another root-beer float didn't hurt either. Though there are a couple things that we hope are just a phase, we wouldn't change a thing. We love getting to know your big personality (don't worry even though you are 4 you are still a little boy) and we can't wait to see what this next year brings. According to you, when you turn 5 you will drive your own car, way to dream big ;)

Bennett 6 months

No surprises here... Bennett is small, just like his brothers, but he is way more active then Kyle and Colin were. he is already rolling all over the place and would be a great sitter if he weren't so wiggly. he constantly tries to sit up inn his swing and he has been eating all kinds of food. He gets downright hangry if he doesn't get fed solid food during mealtime. He is such a happy boy who loves to smile and laugh and we can't get enough of him.
